Phase 4: Old Testament -
During early 2014, we hope the Argentine Bible Society will take on responsability for the organization of the project and will provide financial support for the Toba translators.
The translation of the remaining Old Testament books will then continue, following the working schedules and projected deadlines to be agreed with the ABS. We are praying for one, or possibly two, women to join the translation team.

This year served as a transition period, as we awaited the formalization of a new stage of the project, under the direction of the Argentine Bible Society, which is now expected to come into effect early 2014.
Phase 2: the Old Testament -
In February 2011, Michael returned to northern Argentina, sensing God’s call to continue translation work with the Tobas.
During 2011 and 2012, the Western Toba translation team began work on the Old Testament, with informal support from the Anglican Church of Northern Argentina and the Argentine Bible Society. The objective: translate the 12 books of the Minor Prophets, Hosea to Malachi.
By the end of 2012, all 12 books had been translated, and all but Hosea and Zechariah had been checked.
The books of Hosea and Zechariah have now reached the final stages of the checking process.
During 2014, we hope the Argentine Bible Society will print one or maybe two of the Minor Prophet books.
