In 2010 the Argentine Bible Society published the Western Toba New Testament, presented to the people on 29th August 2010.
Phase 1: the New Testament 1994-
Phase 4: the Old Testament -
Phase 2: the Old Testament -
Achievements to date:
The Pilagá ?
During 2011 and 2012, the Western Toba translation team began work on the Old Testament, with informal support from the Anglican Church of Northern Argentina and the Argentine Bible Society. The 12 books of the Minor Prophets were translated.
During 2014, we plan to continue working on the translation of further books from the Old Testament, possibly Genesis, Joshua, Judges, Nehemiah and more of Psalms.
One possible future project would be to work together with the Pilagá Indians, neighbours of the Tobas in central Formosa province.
Phase 3: the Old Testament -
During 2013, the following books were translated: Ezra, Esther, Job, Lamentations and part of Psalms.
